Rental Sanheim not worth a 1st round pick in the deepest draft in over a decade.

    1) He absolutely is, Chiarot got a 23 1st and Sanheim is infinitely better

    2) I literally put that he's extending in LA in this scenario?

Arizona isn’t trading chychrun to get a Florida 24 1st, they’re after 23 picks, not to mention brink just had surgery. Nothing works in that trade

Whether or not LA decides to extend Sanheim, Philly doesn't get extra compensation for years that they do not control the player. There's a reason why the NHL decided to get rid of the conditional draft picks based upon re-signing in the return to play CBA MOU.

As far as the Chiarot comparable, that is regarded as one of (if not the single worst) trade of the 2022 trade deadline.

    (FLA/MTL) - Smilanic, 1st, 4th for Chiarot

Just because one GM makes a bad trade doesn't mean others should follow suit.

Again, it wouldn't be a bad trade, you're undervaluing Sanheim immensely if you don't think he's worth a 1st. The Hampus Limdholm trade is a much comp, and Sanheim was WAY better than him last year...
