Win what exactly? Buffalo is in a very nice spot and I have no doubt in my mind in a couple years time this team is in the playoffs but the refusal to spend on a goalie keeps them no where near a playoff spot this year

Obviously, a lot depends on development, as 12/18 of the starting skaters are 25 or younger (most are 23 or younger). However, the Sabres over March+April of last year were on a 106 point pace. The team is pretty much the same, except for adding a few top end prospects (Power, Quinn, JJP) and getting rid of some JAGs (Hayden, butcher, Pysyk, Eakin). While I don’t expect them to be a playoff team this year, I do expect them to be a bubble team, with a chance of playoffs. Comrie would have to play quite well for that to happen though.
