I seriously doubt the Sharks take that deal. They get the worse goalie by far, probably have to bury Brossoit for the season, and all they get out of it is a 5th from a team who is desperate for a starting caliber goalie and there are maybe three viable options league wide? I would be demanding at least Buf 2023 3rd for this deal.

You're forgetting that Vegas is San Jose's biggest rival. If Sharks fans don't think the team ripped Vegas off, they will consider the trade bad. Might as well make it an uprotected first for Reimer 50% retained.

Didn't forget, just figured it was well known enough to go unsaid. I don't think retention does anything for anyone, its ~1 mil for one season, and vegas just had 5 open up. Not sure there is anyone out on the market in the 4 mill range that they would pick up to add. Milano could be signed for 2 or less, they couldn't afford Kadri with or without retention, who else would they go get?

This isn’t even close m. San Jose had an ask of a 2nd for Reimer. They aren’t taking back a goalie, which would still leave them with three and has no value to them, and a measly 5th.

The ask, confirmed today is a 2nd. And they won't be taking a goalie back.
