Is there a point in rushing him? Seems counter productive for a team who won't really be competing to rush an 18 year old defenseman.

I was just making this as I have seen on Ducks Twitter and whatnot the discussion of does he make it, does he go to Europe, does he stay in juniors

Essentially just trying to make him succeed with a decent bigger tough partner letting him do his thing

I agree he should not be rushed but if Verbeek does this, I’m not arguing with him

Dallas doesn't have the roster space for Shattenkirk, and they can shed Khudobin's contract without giving up a 1st

I think trading Shatty at 50% retained for a second makes sense IF you take back salary. Just not with Dallas. I’ve been working on a Shattenkirk (50% retained) for Myers, TBL 2024 3rd round pick and a 2023 7th round pick (Via Anaheim). But I wasn’t comfortable posting it cause idk what TBL’s plans with Myers r.
