In all seriousness im not sold on Hayton. Guy just has not lived up to being a top 5 pick.

Sam Bennett hasn't lived up to 4th OA but he's still made a pretty solid career so far. Hayton still looks promising regardless of where he was drafted. There is an argument that him for Sandin is a 1 for 1 but I think Mayo had a pretty solid rookie year last year and is probably worth more than a 3rd, especially at that cap hit and term

In general adding Mayo kind of makes no sense since Niemela could push in 2023-2024 for the third pair. Either way Sandin for Hayton does have grounds but idk I feel staying firm with negotiations (like what we saw with WN) is the best course. Yes it will be a hard long battle but in the end Toronto walks away with the guy signed to a stupid good deal despite what some say lul
