See…like I’ve been saying GMRH will not add a 1st round pick to dump a contract. So can we stop with all the “it’s gonna take a 1st to dump Zucker’s contract” nonsense.

Honestly I would have done it considering who was available for trade this year

Would have gave them room to go add a guy like Bjorkstrand who would have been serious upgrade

As in general Penguins wont have a high first and should be in win now mode and a guy like Zucker gets in the way

Columbus probably wouldn’t trade us Bjorkstrand. And without the 1st, there wouldn’t be anyone worth getting. And how does Zucker get in the way? He does everything well except scoring and that’s cause he’s been injury plagued since coming here. He’s on a contract year so if anyone is likely to have a good year it’s him

Pens are better off holding on to him. If he still had a couple of years on his contract then I'd say yeah, use the first, but Zucker is the most over-bashed players on this board. Zucker is a very good all around hockey player. Very good two way game, fast, plays gritty and makes things happen. He's a useful player on the ice, but he's just not scoring. If he's middling out come the deadline it will be less pricier to move him.

I think he pots 15 to 20 goals this year.
