You can bury $1.125 million of Wagner's cap hit in the minors, so if he clears waivers you only have $8k of his cap hit. Given how little value you attach to him, then I doubt anyone is going to throw a 7th round pick your way when they could just pick him up on waivers.

I hope the Jets are looking for right-shot NHL wingers if they are going to do anything.
