As a montreal fan, with the potential Beck is showing, I would not give him up unless a team massively overpays; he seems like he could be really good

You're not getting Owen Beck at this point.

You can have Dadanov though.

Also MTL is in a rebuild themselves so no chance they're going to move a good - potentially great prospect, 2 2nds and cap friendly Jake Evans. Works against what they're trying to do, even if the players you're sending are of quality it would only make sense if they were trying to make a push and even then I don't see this as a deal that would be made from either side.

Given where Montreal is at right now, I'm not sure what role Detroit plays in these hypothetical trades. Montreal would rather just deal with the Islanders directly (who likely wouldn't do that trade).

Detroit passes 100% on trade #1.

If Alex Nedeljkovic has a bounce back season, He's worth at least a late 2nd round pick.
Oskar Sundqvist is worth at least a 3rd round pick.
Filip Zadina is worth a late 2nd round pick, Perhaps more if he has a tremendous season.
Plus 2 2nds on top of it. The only decent piece Detroit is getting is Owen Beck the rest can you keep.

Trade #2 is fine, But i'd still pass on it.

Montreal agrees that trade #1 shouldn't happen, but for different reasons, those reasons being that all the players Detroit are giving up are busts.

Montreal would trade with the Isles directly for Dadonov if that is considered "reasonable"
