Calm small moves

Small moves but I wouldn't say they are calm since it's 7 players for 3, even if most aren't roster players.

I really think the leafs are past the point of trying to fix this team with small moves. I think someone in the big 4 need to move.

Tavares has a NTC contract and Matthews is the best scorer in the league so who do you move Marner or Willie. Comparing them, Marner is the only player on the leafs that is on the #1 unit in every situation and last season was a first team all-star. Now Willie is supposed to be a great goal scorer and he is but Marner's best season of 35 goals is more than Willies best season. Willie last season had 80 points and Marner had 97 in 9 less games. Willie was a -9 and Marner was a +23. You will definitely get more for Marner in a trade, but he is by a mile the better player.

All those reason you listed are exactly why I think the leafs should consider moving Marner. It's nothing against Marner it's about getting the best value that can help this team win now, but also get some draft picks so the leafs can restock the cupboards as well

The problem with the leafs is they have the softest role players in the league. Engvall, Kerfoot, Jarnkrok, Brodie, Holl, Sandin, Liljegren, Bunting, Gio, Malgin, ZAR, NAC and Kampf, not one of these guys would drop the mitts to protect the stars on this team. This team is built to match DUBASS physical stature and mentality. WALDO that's his theory.
