The lines are fine

Forwards aren't the problem. Some could be more consistent, but overall they are producing. The bigger problem is the d. Samuelsson is out, jokiharju is out, now dahlin is out- and if it's a concussion it could be a few weeks, Lyubushkin is just back, and you've got power and Bryson both playing 25 minutes per night. So now you are down to your 7th, 8th, and 9th d (pilut, Fitzgerald, and clague) and you're in the middle of a gauntlet with vegas and Boston coming soon. Can't start bleeding points now, but it's gonna be tough to keep up.

If Dahlin and Samuelson are both going to be out for a long time, it may be worthwhile to explore a trade flipping some of your depth elsewhere for a vet you can plug in. While nobody really thought this team was going to be a playoff team this year necessarily, we all hoped they would at least remain competitive. If that is still the goal a stretch of 10 games where you only win two isn’t going to get it done. Fitzgerald and Pilut are fine when they have someone to help shelter them. It’s nice to see Power stepping up, but he’ll still make mistakes once in a while. Bryson playing big minutes is going to be a problem. Clague probably needs to go back to Rochester.
