I think the physicality is a glaring issue. Calgary basically ran them out of their own rink in the first period of yesterdays game. The speed in the end won them the game but It would be nice to have a better blend of speed and physicality.

Zadorov and Lucic are our 2 big physical guys. We lost a lot of Physicality with Tkachuk leaving. We need all the Physicality we can get

Was it physicality?

If anything, it was Calgary effectively blocking up passing lanes and shooting lanes. We didn't have our first shot on goal until 9-10 minutes in. And they seemed to get a stick into lanes as well as anyone we have seen so far this year (other than the other Calgary game).

I didn't think physicality was lacking. It was just a stifling, clogging team defensive style that slowed us.

The Devils weren't gonna outplay their opposition for every single game this season.
This kind of game was inevitable and it's honestly a tiny miracle that it didn't happen to the Devils sooner.
Just take the W and move on.
