that second line has some huge shutdown potential while being able to carry the load offensively, crouse is a forecheck beast who never takes a shift off, i think hed be good for 50-60 pts if he plays with quality players. great leader and will fight to protect his guys, overall i think hed be a great add for an up and coming team.

1. Either Demko returns to form and Vancouver declines, or he doesn't and the Devils decline.

I get why you'd think that but that's just wrong.
Tatar has been stupidly good to start the season and will not be traded at all.
He's certainly a way better player than Crouse at this point.
