Description
This team has the tools in place to get it done. Enough with morgaging the future of this team for the shortcomings of the core group.

The defense is solid with Rielly Bordie and Liljegren in the top four. Hopefully Sandin can figure is game out. Gio is also a solid 4-5D, and as much as the fanbase dislike Holl, he does play big minutes and is effective on Pk. Good as a 6th D.

I don't think we need any big changes but if we can add one more impact forward that certainly will be helpful. Not sure which one I would want but really why not go for it this year. Contrary to what people think, this team is closer than they were last year. Better defensively

Agree the team is really well positioned but doesn't mean you couldn't tweak it and get better. Would like to see another impact forward brought in to play either 3C or 2LW as needed, and maybe bring in another 3-4 range defenceman in an ideal world. Holl is a valuable penalty killer, but I'd prefer to see him as the well defined 6-7 slot D

As things stand I see a team that can get out of the first round. However, I don’t see a team that can get out of the East yet.

It’s a team that can beat Tampa but not much else.

I don’t think the team is better than last year but I think enough teams in the east are falling off that we are still in a better position than most of the east. Tampa looks like they’re coming back to reality. Florida is good but I don’t see a team that better than what they had last year. Boston is obviously on a tear and I’ll never be confident against them in a playoff series but eventually this insane streak of theirs will end. NJ is amazing but teams that young usually don’t get it done in the postseason. I’m still cautious about facing Carolina because they’re such a tough team to break down. The Rangers might be a little more manageable this year. Pittsburgh and Washington are finally meeting Father Time. Overall I’m happy but this still isn’t the 1993 team just yet.

One more scorer for the 3rd line would be such a difference for the team. Someone who can provide either offence at a higher rate or someone like ROR who could anchor a more defensive unit and still score points. Especially on the road. At home we can. Send ROR and Kampf out against the top lines of other teams and expect them to be limited and then send the top 2 lines out against 3rd and 4th lines and wreck them. On the road they'll matchup against Matthews and JT more which would open up ROR. One more impact forward makes this team extremely dangerous
