You got Kovacevic from waivers and he’s playing bigger minutes because he’s on a bad team. Wideman is an AHLer. The only player you can say has real value is Harris and that’s fair. To act like you’re trading away some franchise prized possessions is ridiculous.

Not with 1 year left though. If he had 2 years then anything is on the table. Also who is going to grade for him that has more nhl ready cal controlled players than Columbus? A trade for Drai is either futures heavy or a few high end veteran pieces straight up from another team trying to contend how.

Exactly and the jackets have been very aggressive in trying to improve that team now. You have pieces to deal that most teams don’t have. I think other than Fantilli and Jiricek, everyone else from your youngsters should be up for discussion including what will still be a pretty good 2024 1st.

No way would anyone give a top end piece like Fantilli even for Drai. It’s one year left on the deal. I do think Edmonton would take one of Johnston or Sillinger, Peake, Cuelemans, and two firsts.
