No thanks on that Jackets trade. Danforth has actually been kind of a high percentage shooting secret weapon and scoring fill-in; we'd like to keep him around and have him keep catching folks off guard.

Honestly, the way things are going right now, Barby might be the first UFA they re-sign.

Dude, except for his shooting, Barby has been playing solid hockey this season. There's a good reason he's easily the team's +/- leader among forwards. No dumb mistakes, following the system, smart decisions, dropping as many dimes as he is opponents on the boards, back checking, barely taking any penalties while drawing a ton. The guy is playing Blues hockey, even if few others are, and he's always been a streaky scorer. I'm not sure how you don;t see it, he's doing all the stuff you like. He was doing the same stuff with Schenn and Kyrou before this line came together. He did it with ROR before that. I'd kinda like to see him get a run with Alexandrov. Those two could re-establish the Blues forecheck game together. Hell, stick them with Saad or Schenn, get silly with it.

I can't see anyone but TOR being interested in these deals.
