I like it but I think you’d need to send Mangiapane instead of Dube & Lucic, if Looch will even agree to go there

Ivan Barbashev, Luke Kunin, Max Domi and/or Myles Wood are worth consideration as well

I love the idea of both Meier and Duclair. Stylistically, I can't think of a better fit than Timo Meier for the Flames current needs at F. And Duclair is a guy that has a proven track record with Huberdeau and would add some speed to the F group. Both guys would help push lesser guys down the lineup to where they belong. 100% on board with going after these two guys. Jeff Carter doesn't really interest me all that much, though. He can stay in PIT.

In terms of value:

FLA needs to clear cap for sure, but not sure they are looking to just dump Duclair. They might look to dump money elsewhere on their roster to make room for him, but I wonder if they'd be interested in making a player-for-player swap for someone that costs them less money (like Dillon Dube at $2.3M for Duclair and his $3M).

SJ will get more than that for Meier, I think. And I think we are stuck with Lucic.

That said, I think he's the perfect fit and we should be all-in on him. I think that likely means upping the ante and paying SJ to eat half of his cap hit. Thinking that starts with the 2023 first and the rights to Matt Coronato. Then one or two ancillary pieces, including maybe Kevin Rooney to move a little money out (I also just don't want Rooney anymore) and some lesser picks/prospects.
