Description

People are sleeping on the Caps too much. They are the most injured team in the league yet are playing very well.

They are going to get Backy and Willy back soon and once they do they'll be incredibly deep. A 3rd line of Milano-Backy-Oshie? That's a 2nd line on most teams. It all comes down to how well Backy can come back from this hip surgery, if he heals well then Caps are stacked.

Defense is deep as well. Somehow Gus-Carlson is really good together, that leaves the bottom 4 being the high end defensive pairs.

Then the goalies are super strong and reliable.

Overall, not the flashiest of teams but really strong and heavy. As long as they stay healthy they could cause some noise in the playoffs where they know how to play in order to win.

Agreed. Especially with the recent play - team is clicking.

A touch concerning about Oshie being out (especially with the way Caps play without him), but with Wilson and Backy potentially coming back soon, I think the team continues to progress
