Description
Probably overshot values a touch but in trading for players with term, it defeats the purpose of holding onto some of the prospects.

I think it less likely that Schenn comes out for Kesselring on those nights the kid draws in but rather Derek Ryan comes out for Edmonton to run extra blue.

Chych > that whole package plus another 1st which would all be 30+ and those result in mid 6 players on average like your average prospects anyway

EDM doesn't have the trade assets for Chych.

Call CBJ, ANA, or Philly, isn't Ken close with StevY of Detroix?

Ken Holland doesn't have what it takes, To make these kinds of offers. We're talking about a GM who only made 30 trades in over a 35 years career.

This is a crazy all or nothing type of push but it might just be crazy enough to work.

The above package is probably more than any team in the league is capable of offering: the teams rumoured to be genuinely interested in Chychrun all have Stanley Cup aspirations, your argument regarding draft pick quality is moot. You're essentially offering that the first round picks of any team guaranteed to make the second round are worthless. What a stupid take.

What does any of that have to do with the above AGM? Despite all aspirations, I'm not Ken Hollland. Infuriating perhaps that this is a very complete roster that legitimately pushes Edmonton into the contender conversation and the current GM lacks the gall to make these trades?

Why? Because Ken Holland doesn't have what it would take to make these kinds of trades. You're honestly expecting the guy to do the unexpected here.
