Description
Made under the premise of a re-tool for the Blues. Sells most of their higher end UFAs to be in hopes of rejuvenating the farm to be competitive in 3-4 years as some of the longer NTC contracts start to reach expiration.

Admittedly, i may have shot for a bit to high end of prospects, however, in regards to Tarasenko and ROR those caliber of rentals are generally not available. There really isn't much of a comp for ROR as Giroux would be the closest, but ROR has no trade protection so he can't force his way on to a few different teams like Giroux could. Tarasenko does have a NTC so there is always a chance that he may not want to go somewhere and make a deal a bit more complicated.

Did not include any trade proposals for any contract that is longer than a UFA as I believe those are better to be looked at in the offseason when a more clear picture of the cap for next season becomes available.

Boston doesn’t need a center. Especially for that. Maybe check with Colorado

Was under the impression they were looking to bolster their center group. Also, wasn't really sure where Frederic was viewed. You may be right though, more or less a framework of a trade that clears cap for them next season in Reilly and adds in a very strong 200ft center as their core is aging, and Pasta is creeping up on an extension. Albeit, somehow everyone in Boston takes a discount.

"i may have shot for a bit to high end of prospects"

You definitely did not. And I can;t see how you even got that feeling, as there's nothing close to a high end prospect coming back in any of these trades.

Schaefer is a pretty good prospect, good chance he’s a middle 6 guy, Lohrei is Boston’s probably 2nd or 3rd best prospect although that isn’t saying a lot. He’s certainly a question mark but has the frame and some abilities that could allow him to be a minute eater in the NHL.

Nause is also a pretty solid prospect.

Only issue from the Blues POV that I see is that that’s a lot of LD prospects coming up and it’s not going to be easy to move Krug or Leddy. I think the firsts alone could really help. This class has some really good options from around 15-30
