Edmonton seems to be more interested in someone with term left. With their eyes on Ekholm in Nashville and Chychrun in Arizona. Ken Holland doesn’t like trading firsts/high end prospects for rentals.

The team does not matter... They will get a late pick for dadonov and drouin from someone who needs depth scoring for the playoffs. Edmundson will get a first just like Chariot did. chariot got a first and a good b prospect. After that we dont need to trade any thing else. We have enough b prospects and you need veterans to bring the kids along.
