Description
I think you need to read BEFORE commenting... These are NOT proposals, I am trying to see what the Sens would look like with my own vision

I am just trying to see what the roster would look like if Dorion did things differently, more "my way". There's no miracles here. We had these players lol

Formenton is still not there, I am not trying to change the reality, just what Dorion had control on.

I traded some guys I wouldn't have signed to one-ways (Gambrell and Kelly)

Also, no need for Motte and Brassard. Randomly sent them to Seattle

Zaitsev in the AHL, gets bought out in the off-season

Pairings are built based on chemistry and compatibility. ES TOI would be managed differently, Sanderson on the 3rd "pairing" would still get the 2nd/3rd most TOI/GP

And of course, coaching would need to be different, need a coaching staff that can instill 2-way systems. Our play without the puck has been absolutely sub-par under DJ Smith.

February 2020 feels like a lifetime ago. Was the pre-pandemic trade market that depressed that Ottawa only was able to get a 3rd or was there something else?

I like Murray and I could have brought him back but his contract was bad from the get go. You don't give $6,250,000 x 4 years to the most injury-prone NHL player lol

    But Dorion is Dorion.

With Forsberg, Gustavsson and Sogaard, I don't think the Sens needed Murray. Just give them proper coaching, a better D squad and a more defensively responsible forward group.

You're talking about DeMelo I suppose. I don't know but he was not as proven as today. A lot of Sens fans never understood this move. The guy wanted to be here, he had good chemistry with Chabot and we were in DIRE NEED of RD (it was before Zub too!)

Dorion is just impossible to understand. He'll make splash moves where external fans will think that he knows what he's doing but he makes an incredible amount of mistakes so in the end, the roster is flawed.

    A bit?

Compare the current bottom-6 and RD for fun! lol
