well if there was one player i was sure would have signed a bridge deal, it would have been boldy. doesnt leave a lot of room to improve the roster. its gonna be a tigh situation.

I don’t think so. Gus and Addy likely take less than $5 mil on bridges. That leaves you with $4 mil to sign a 4th line, and if you can’t do that then you’re doing it wrong. This also assumes they keep Greenway which is far from a given. This signing was 100% the right move.

well they definitly can put a full roster. it just means they will ice a roster probably worse than this year. its a team trying to compete and it will be hard to make any significant upgrade

I don’t agree with that assessment. NHL contracts mean you play NHL games, that’s Greenway. I think you have a net gain by moving on with Freddy and Greener, and bring up Rossi/Walker/Beckman. The team will have to play differently, but I think it will be a better team. Marginally better, but better.

well they also lose Dumba as aswell, i knkw hr was not the greatest this year but its a big question also who and to what extant they can replace him. Maybe all the youngster they bring wil make the team better, who knows. but right now its full of question mark. many of the yougster they brought up did not make the best impression this year, its hard to be fully confident for next one.
