Description

The Meier trade is a better return than Chicago received for DeBrincat
2 1st's and a second vs a 1st-2nd and 3rd...only thing different is Ottawa gave an unprotected first which I don't see Adams doing. None of the other contenders can match this let alone fit Meier under the cap. It's a clean easy deal for SJ.

Lafferty for Asplund is a fresh start for Asplund, isn't getting playing time here. Lafferty brings depth to the bottom six.

Now find me a partner for Power that won't cost a 1st round pick which would include a combination of Mitts and one of our RD!!!!

I would argue it’s not a better return than Debrincat with how high the picks were that he got. There’s no 7th oa in that trade

true but it's 2 1st rounders and a 2nd vs a 1st and 2nd and 3rd so it's a 1st instead of a 3rd
