Yet again, no. Even if you retained 50% on Edmundson, the answer from EDM fans would still be no. Put simply, he is not a good enough player to justify spending a 1st on.

Yes, Ken Holland, who hasn't traded a 1st round pick at the deadline in over a decade. I'm sure he's the more likely of the parties to trade a 1st for Edmundson.

Further, you're not Hughes and are posting this on a site whose purpose is for fans to exchange ideas and opinions (or to post head-in-the-cloud dreams). As such, unless this is the latter, your trade partners actually are Oilers fans.

Edmundson would be the 2nd best defenseman on that horrendous Oilers blue line. A late first round pick and a cap dump is a fair trade for both sides.
