Description
This was gonna be some what realistic. 22 man roster

The SJ trade was the mock SN590 trade.
It's a easy yes from leafs. Probably depends how San Jose see knies

After that I free styled
2nd and Robertson is more than enough for McCabe 50percent from reported ask, 4th for Lafferty

A 20 year old !st yr NCAA for Harvard player for dowd (didn't know he has a 3 year contract so this is a stretch)

Sandin is extra man out. Need a 3C/W. Henrique is perfect. Not sure if young LD is a need for ducks but who cares. Not me
Got bored at ducks trade

Chicago isn't retaining on Lafferty and McCabe alone likely starts with a 1st heading back to Chicago. Not sure San Jose or Washington accept, Toronto is definitely overpaying for Henrique.

San Jose Does not. 23 1st is a Priority, Knies is as well, then you have to add and Kerfoot and Engvall are not the pieces we want.

The Meier price is going to be interesting. He's got a lot of value, but his contract situation and San Jose's future plans make it clouded. Teams know San Jose doesn't want that $10M QO on their hands, wonder if that makes the price lower.

Seravalli reoprted on the DFO podcast that the return won't be as big as DeBrincat was in the offseason.

Seravalli is an Idiot, teams overpay at the deadline vs off-season, Sharks can always sign the QO and move him 50% retained next season or the offseason. but his value is at an all time high and he has outperformed both Fiala and Debrincat this year. Plus he has the size those two don't have and is just as fast, and on top of that is way better at creating scoring chances where those two depend on help to create scoring chances. Meier is also the top guy available by a significant margin now with Horvat gone already.

I mean the ask is bigger than Cat, as is what's been rumored to already have been offered, so I don't get how people can possibly compare a trade deadline deal to a draft day deal. Especially when Cat should have gotten way more AND Chicago was desperate to re-coup a top ten pick that they traded away to Columbus so they weren't exactly in the driver's seat
