Description
Obviously the EK trade is stupid. It will be really hard to trade Karlsson at a reasonable retention, and at a high retention SJ would be expecting to get compensated or else it is not worth it.

Pretty sure Grier keeps both Meier and EK and we have a boring TDL.
If he ships one off he's going to upset the other.

Would like to see Meier go to NJ if he's not extending with SJ and hopefully could get two good prospects back due to demand. 1st+Holtz+Muk/Casey would be great.

Trading Ceci makes no sense to me, he’s Edmonton’s best overall RHD. Trading him on top of 3 first round picks(Bouch, borgault, 1st), a 20 goal scorer (yams) and a second round pick for Karlsson and 3 other pieces that do nothing for me is just ludicrous.

I would expect San Jose to retain half for this package—Edmonton’s not trading Ceci.

Devils decline. Holtz, Casey, and a 1st would be an unprecedentedly large return

OK, sure can swap out Ceci for Barrie. No problem. Will need a big piece like one of them to go back for the math.
This is the 3 1sts and based on someone else posting about Bouchard+Bourgault being requested.
So this is giving cheaper roster players while taking back more expensive players.

Frankly the ACGMs with 40%-50% retained on Karlsson for 4 years are more fantasy than this, because I don't see EDM wanting to pay for that kind of retention either to SJ or a third team.
