This is one of the more creative solutions I’ve seen. But I see some issues. Roy doesn’t have as high a ceiling as some of our other prospects, but he’s currently more valuable than any other asset that LA is making available. To put it bluntly, I wouldn’t trade him for Vejmelka straight up. The risk to interrupt this playoff run isn’t reflected in the valuation here. So while I like the spirit of this idea, I would pass.

Petersen has 2 years left while Zaitsev only has 1 but I'd still make that trade. We don't need Thomson (we need JBD) and getting Roy would be great for Chabot and the D-squad
