Varlamov will return 2nd+, especially 50% retained.

Mayfield will at minimum return a 1st, especially at league minimum (retained). There aren’t many top-4 RD veterans out there for league minimum.

Parise at league minimum is definitely worth a 2nd imo.

Sebastian Aho has been Isles best two-way defenseman this season, I don’t know why you want to give him away, especially at his cap hit, Comtois is nothing special.

The Ottawa trade is very intriguing imo.

Ottawa declines.
It's just not at all what they're looking for.
Romanov is a LHD.
Taking Pageau back while moving Zaitsev does not help our cap crunch.
Side note: you're a $1M shy on the Pinto deal. He's 4th in shots and 3rd in goals for rookies this season. $2.5M for 3 years would still be a steal.
