sounds like there is an agreed upon deal between boston and columbus for gavrikov... personally I don't get the fit there. If boston is looking for LHD depth, why not pursue a lower cost insurance d option like Kulikov and then add more to the bottom 6 forward group with their assets?

to me, i'm genuinely not sure where gavrikov is a surefire upgrade on the left side... seems like all of bostons pairs are clicking very well and unless someone gets injured gavy would just be a 7th d man on that team

It sounds like they want to sign Gavrikov, they probably try to move Forbort in the off-season or something.

Interesting, feel like gavrikov would command more money than Forbort and with Gryz/McAvoy and Lindholm/Carlo set as pairs I feel like its just an unnecessary move. If he does get traded there I wouldn't be mad tho

There is no confirmed deal between CBJ and BOS for Gavrikov. The guy who said that was an Athletic reporter in his written piece. It's obvious clickbait.

I’m not the biggest Portzline fan but the smoke around Gavrikov/Boston has been something that Elliotte Friedman has alluded to as well as other reputable NHL sources… whether the deal is in place or not, that’s definitely debatable. I still don’t think it’s the greatest fit but it is what it is
