Description
Klingberg as a pure rental. Henrique as insulation for Newhook to continue to develop. Klingberg won't garner what the Ducks probably hoped for in signing him for one year to trade at the TDL after a poor season but still has some value for a playoff run.
Trades
COL
  1. Henrique, Adam ($2,912,500 retained)
  2. Klingberg, John ($3,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Retention may be unnecessary depending on Landy & EJ's injuries and whether they're on LTIR until the playoffs. If you prefer Kulikov then that's fine too but I think if Klingberg finds form he can be more of a weapon for the playoffs.
ANA
  1. Bowers, Shane
  2. Ranta, Sampo
  3. 2024 1st round pick (COL)
  4. 2025 2nd round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
1st & Bowers for Rico.
2nd & Ranta for Klingberg/Kulikov.

Klingberg isn’t the one stop shop, Kulikov is a better fit

A lot would probably depend on Makar's concussion situation, I'm not too fussed either way though. The payment is probably similar. I think Kulikov is probably the 'safe' option in that he's less of a gamble. If Klingberg takes off then it'd be an awesome addition. If not then you're wishing you'd gone the safe route. Unusual for me but I've gone the gamble route here.

If this trade happened in real life the respective fanbases would be ecstatic, and I would hope that the Avs fanbase would be even happier in June.

I think it works with either K Dman value-wise, and works for both teams and for the players involved (unless there are any personal things I don't know about such as wives who won't move from California causing NTCs to be invoked etc lol). As I said above I think Klingberg is the higher risk but probably also higher potential reward.
