Description
Since everyone wants to venture off into fantasy land, okay, I'll play - but still keep things in or near the actual realm of possibility. But also, I'm being straight up evil. Because it's fun.

Taxi squad = two D-men who are waivers exempt, but could play a role with the Blues & three forward prospects who'll probably get their first NHL looks at some point in the season.
Blues magically win the #2 pick this summer (not bloody likely), and LA/NYR lose in the first round of the playoffs (not bloody unlikely), so...

I’m not sure about the Schenn for Roslovic move, Schenns a leader, better player, and one of the few players on the team who seems to give effort every night. I think he’s the next captain.

Schenn has been absolutely hideous defensively this season. BRUTAL. Probably the worst defensive forward on the team this season, even with the horror start from ROR and Kyrou. Somehow he completely escapes criticism, and instead everyone showers him with praise as a leader and a big effort guy. I'm not in that camp. I like Schenn. I do not dislike Schenn. But he has been exasperating this season and I think we can put that money to better use before his offense starts falling away or he ends being injured a lot with age. Roslovic can offer some of the things Schenn will take with him at a lower cost for one season. If he doesn't work out, he walks or gets dealt and Schenn's full cap hit is gone.

I'm not married to trading Schenn, but if I can get a decent value short term 3C and move up one of this summer's 1sts from the end of the round to near the middle of the round, I'm in.

Oh... and I think we should continue without a captain for the foreseeable future. I want to see who earns it. Or if nobody earns it, I want to see that, too.

this is exactly how boone is lol. Excellent everywhere except one of the most important things as a C, defense. Last year his analytics were only ahead of Laine for D zone coverage
