Description
If they keep Tatar, I think Sevo and Graves are both gone.

Soucy would slot right in on the bottom pair on either side and will be cheaper than Graves, who I figure gets $4-4.5m on a longer deal in FA. I know there is cap space left here so NJ could probably afford to extend Graves in this scenario, but maybe Fitz would want a little wiggle room cap wise for the deadline.

Sharangovich would be the odd man out on offensive and gets traded/signed to a 1 year “prove it” deal. I just used WPG because I like Torgersson, and I’m curious if management may have Rashevsky, Chibrikov, and Perfetti/McGroarty/Lambert all ahead of him (if WPG sees the last 3 more as wingers).

Holtz finally makes it into the lineup because he is playing with 1 or 2 play drivers every night to help open up shot lanes for him.

Blackwoods rights go to whoever for whatever NJ can get. Maybe a team like CHI in need of a transitional “starter” during a rebuild or backup.

I can't see signing Soucy to term with Nemec due up soon.

Yegor is worth more than scraps, and you have the cap space to keep him around.

No RD is gonna sign with us since they know they'll be traded to make room for Nemec. Let Walsh or Smith have 3RD if you don't think Nemec is ready.

Well I think Soucy is playing the left side currently, so Bahl would be the odd man out/healthy scratch at that point with Smith gone after next year. And I’d rather have NJ capitalize on any trade value Walsh has.

    2024 would be
    Siegs - Hamilton
    Hughes - Marino
    Soucy - Nemec
    Bahl

Yegor is worth more than scraps, sure, but he’s really only relevant when playing with Hughes. I’m sure he could fetch a conditional 3rd or 4th and a prospect if teams don’t focus on how streaky he is.

Sharangovich is one of our best defensive forwards, can play each position, good for 20+ goals, with a low $2m QO. If we trade him, at least get a worthwhile return.

Nemec is probably capped at 9 games next year to slide another year. Could put Luke at 3RD or give Walsh a chance.
