Well, the Devils definitely match that, and while they would likely thank the Canes for doing their negotiating for them, they will curse us if he leaves via UFA at the end of the year. Patches probably takes less, probably 3.5-4.5. Canes will not bring Cole back after what he did during his time here. They aren’t going to waste 5mil on Klingberg, and they aren’t going to take only a 2nd for Skjei, which means they aren’t trading Skjei. And even if they were to trade Skjei, they would be getting a 1st and some extra.

The Graves move I don’t mind, but resigning Ghost is a better option. Korpisalo really doesn’t move the needle much, whereas someone like Varlamov is a lot more likely a candidate. Overall, just too many bad moves that would destroy this team.
