You'd literally need to add a first for the Sharks to consider this. Benning is a middle pairing shutdown D on 1.25 contract for three more years after this.

Colton is a third line center who would be cheap on a longish term deal.

He's an RFA he's going to cost more than Benning. Sharks already have entire team of depth forwards. Literally no interest here, and Benning is MUCH more valuable
