I don't think the Sabres would have interest in Bailey. There is some good news here, his cap hit for next year is 5 million, but his actual money owed is 3.5m. Nobody is looking for that player at that salary, nobody, but with his contract being set up that way, maybe arizona takes a shot if it comes with a second round pick.

Sabres have excess cap space next season, Bailey can be put in the bottom 6 and for two picks that is good value for Buffalo.

I like the player as well. Could keep him for $1M on a two-year deal (assumed), sign someone cheaper at 3LW rather than Namestnikov. Only issue is that he's a 4th line caliber player, he will have to fight with Clutterbuck for ice time if the Isles want to make the playoffs.
