Mailloux is radioactive, man, nobody is touching that. And I'm pretty sure Columbus scoffs at that offer.

CBJ fans have liked this trade on about 5 different posts i've commented on or a variation of this trade.
Jiricek in their minds will push him out and devalue him next season is their worry.
To be fair before they started showing up accepting it i was kinda shocked as i though he was their Ghule not their well Harris basically aka Odd man out longterm no matter what he does.

Mailloux they never started pushing until WPG sent scouts to a junior game he was at where there was some 13 NHL prospects already drafted and 3 -5 players who will likely be drafted with another dozen between the two who are eligible but wont be selected this year. Its the stupidest bit as its all the Assumption because Mailloux was top guy there that he was the target which is a flawed logic as most teams dont give up top guys.

We arent giving up on Mailloux because what he did was barely a crime in Sweden as it showed no face ,boobs or ass.
We dont go through all this hiring a committe to oversee his growth nor do they invest in him like MTL has if he had no value.
Sure publicly our owners a chicken **** because last time they angered the Coors Family they lost control of the company for 20+ years and were forced to sell the Habs.

But those of us with knowledge about the situation know the Angry Lynch Mob doesnt care that the 17 year old was failed by his Foreign Hosts.
Most dont know his Mentors bet him 2000$ in kinda a team challenge from a dumb kids POV to get a selfie of a woman blowing him .
Only reason he was fined was because they couldnt see anything but the back of her head and a bit of naked back so there was nothing to charge him with until he attached her Profile Pic to it.
Before that he was walking away because they couldnt charge him with distribution of porn with a minor involved without charging her for sleeping with a Minor .
Its a complete cluster**** that comes down to the GM being fired unable to find work at even a high school now and the team was rebuild so people couldnt tell which Veterans were responsible.

Everyone involved paid for it especially that woman who targeted and slept with a foreign minor right after meeting him who exercised bad judgement same as Mailloux.
Difference is nobody is villainizing the Swede's for handling this so quietly and refusing to put the true villain's behind this in the position Mailloux is now.

Personally I think this is why you dont trust foreign leagues unless they're Pro Level .
Its not like US or Canada where we have our issue but we address them and fix them head on.
In Europe its just viewed as a lesser offense with life lessons attached rather then any real steps towards meaningful change.
By Proxy Canada fired everyone top to bottom on team canada over similar events in which they were caught covering it up like Sweden's essentially done here.
We're willing to be accountable but we take it too far sometimes

Difference between a top RD replacement for down the road to make space for Jiricek now and a RD replacement who might make the NHL one day.
CBJ fans i saw accepting versions of this trade did so when LAK's pick was 27th-29th OA though
It was about finding a way to swap for the same quality or better but give the current core 2-3 years to see which 2/3 are staying .

I woulda thought trade STL the FLA pick for their two late picks
Then flip 1/2 later picks for Boqvist because at best that's what he's worth today
Given how cramped its about to be i doubt that value goes up as he's in a Harris situation in CBJ with them trying to land their Hutson.
