Depends where Caps 2023 1st lands. If it's in the top 10 and they have a guy they like I don't think they trade their 1st this year.

Caps probably do that if it's a 2024 first. I know management has been saying that they want to contend for another Cup with Ovi, but they have to be smart enough to know that's probably not happening. Trading a top 10 pick doesn't seem in the cards for them unless there's somehow a 1C that's on the trade market
