I wonder.
Calgary is trying to be good, but might want to retool a bit.

How low has breads value fallen?
More importantly how much do you value next years pick if you could top-5 protect it.

Below isnt a full trade proposal so much as a pieces to consider.

If Im moving Lily, i need a guy coming back who can play huge mins well that Keefe would love - ideally on the right (but ive seen hanafin on here so i included him as a posibility). I'd be looking to move this years pick for next, maybe moving Murray's deal as part of the trade and grab a low(er) value forward in return to shore up the wings

Just a thought brought on my another agm that had us buying a rental Lindholm

Mangiapane-Starting to pick it up
Tanev-One of our most important players
Dube- good young player that needs top 6 time
Hanifin- top 4 dman
1st round pick in a year this team may be good or bad

Murray- cap dump in a position we have Markstrom for 3 more years, Vladar for 2 and Wolf for quite a few

Not even close. For us honestly most of that 1st round pick value goes to taking on Murray. So late pick young dman and for all that? No thanks

Yes, that was always there.

Also, a Murray dump wont cost most of a first lmao. Not even close. 15 mil/2 cost a 3rd and 7th.

A Murray who has been signifigantly better owed 8/1 wont cost signifigantly more.

Edit: Murray was moved for 11.25/2 once you factor in the retention. Any potential move as is would therefore be 6/1 - both at a lower cap hit than salary (which is a good thing if your team isnt cheap)

I also raise an eyebrow at "decent" being used for Lily. This is Andersson 2.0 here

Lol fair enough. I would say TLDR and saw a trade. I also don't like ACGMs that don't complete the whole team. You have an idea, show a completed trade and team. Cap wise, your best bet is some sort of Dube x Lily deal with picks.

In terms of the players you listed, Calgary could be interested in Lily but I don't see Toronto being able to to take a on a guy like breadman and has cap hit. I see zero chance that Calgary would take Murray to level cap hits for any of those players as well.
