Assuming the pens still think they can compete next yr, these are the guys that have to stay/have to go etc

LW-Players that actually play hockey, have to stay if we want to be remotely competitive
C-Players that could be moved if the return is spectacular, but should probably stay bc youth
RW-Meh, players I'm indifferent to keeping, not horrible for their roles but would be relatively easy to replace/upgrade with a competent GM
LD-Players that should probably move, either too old or make too much, but aren't complete anchors (both goalies here)
RD'absolute anchors that need to be moved before next szn (or not resigned)

Agreed, tho it sucks to make that decision after the season the top 6 just had

This team haven't won a playoff round in 5 years, is the oldest team in the league and is only going downward.

Nostalgia isn't reality.

If our golf game is anything like our performance this season we will probably have a monster lead through like 13-14 holes then absolutely collapse on the remaining 4-5.

Were just not going to compete next year. There's nothing this team could realistically do that would make us a contender. To compete with a core that is 37, 38, and 38 you need to surround them with an almost perfect roster filled with youth. That takes years to build through the draft. Were done. It's completely toast
