Description

Well pretty simple off-season. Get rid of the players who play like they don’t want to be here with Vladar as an exemption. Vladar simply is moved to make room for Wolf. With Markstrom earning triple what Vladar does he is the easier goalie to move. Kadri and Hanifin need to be moved period. It’s obvious they need a change. Kadri can help out in Columbus and might find new life with Gaudreau or Laine on his wings. Hanifin seems to maybe fit into Detroits blue line and can add some veteran presence and skill on their back end.

I like Hanifin and would mind him coming to Detroit but he is a LHD. Detroit has 2 LHD's signed for the next 3 seasons and 1 signed for the next 2 seasons. Edvinsson makes the team out of camp and we probably see Johansson at some point next season. What Detroit really needs is a good RHD and there will be a couple still available when that pick comes up.
