The Sharks seem to have finally committed to the rebuild they desperately needed.

-The UFA signings are all players who would be traded at some point during their contracts for future assets.
-Some other trade pieces for the deadline could include Barabanov, Sturm, and/or Kunin.
-I decided to call up Bordeleau over Eklund since he has only one year until he needs a new contract while Eklund has more time. This could change depending how they do at training camp.
-Out of the RFAs, I gave all of Zetterlund, Kaut and Peterson one year deals since they are all in the same boat as this will be a make or break year for them. Ultimately, I did not qualify Gregor as he had that chance last season.
-I traded Kevin Labanc with 50% retention cause now would be the best time to maximize the return. I thought of Pittsburgh since they need to fix up their bottom six badly. I also traded for Vladar since Wolf should be NHL ready and SJS needs another goalie.
-No guys, they will not trade Erik Karlsson. Yes, he had an amazing bounce back year, but he is in his mid 30s with four years left on that massive deal and anyone who even considers trading for him should immediately be fired!
