I know Verbeek has come out and said they aren't trading Gibson. Doesn't make sense to me, but anyone is available for the right price. If not Gibson, maybe the same offer to Calgary for Markstrom?

Tried something different instead of signing Korpisalo, who I don't think LA will lose.

It's more than just the fact that ANA has said Gibson isn't available - it's also just a terrible trade for the Pens. You can get, at worst, equal goaltending on the open market for cheaper and save your assets.

Gibson isn't good anymore and makes way too much. This a terrible loss for the Pens.

This is too much to give up. Doesn’t make sense for us. Also, we should buy out Granlund as opposed to moving assets to get rid of him.
