Assumptions:
Parise retires (if he doesn't I'd be happy to find a spot for him)
Varly gets starter money elsewhere.
I think Engvall & Mayfield will get more money and/or term than makes sense for the Isles to give them given their roles (I'd be happy to be wrong about both though).

As far as trades go:
Dumping Bailey is self-explanatory. He didn't play at all in the playoffs and his cap hit has to go.
It seems like Winnipeg has a bunch of guys to re-sign/holes to fill, and not a tremendous amount of cap space to do so. I'd be OK with adding a later round pick or prospect to that deal to make it work. I debated not making this trade and re-signing Engvall with the savings, but as good as Engvall was down the stretch, I think a 25+ goal guy like Nino may be more of what they need.

I know everybody wants to break up the Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck line, but I just don't really see that happening. We're stuck with it next season until Martin and Clutterbuck's contracts expire (at least until the inevitable Clutterbuck injury).

Hill and Holl may or may not be good fits, I just used them as placeholders with average-ish cap hits. Feel free to imagine different players with similar cap hits in those spots.

I used the taxi squad as a placeholder for AHL guys I think may contribute next year.
