Hawks decline. Not enough coming back to equalize the negative assets your sending Chicago's way.

It’s not that far off imo. All hawks ACGMs are asking for a 2nd with Bailey which I personally think is slightly high I’d say a 3rd and a 5th. Not to mention Martin is actually not bad for his contract at all maybe slightly overpaid by 100-200k. Which is why I added a 3rd and 4th instead of a 3rd and 5th. Not to mention I also think Chicago could flip Martin and/or Bailey at the deadline next season.

Hawks have consistently got 2nd round picks for taking on smaller cap hits than Bailey. A 2nd is the minimum to dump him.

Honestly Kyle Davidson has played his cards right up to this point. Just going off of what's he's done since taking the reins, he'd be asking for a 2nd regardless and would add value if necessary to secure that 2nd. As far as taking on cap dumps, there are more teams looking to dump than teams willing to take a dump (wait that didn't sound right). I think that puts Chicago in a position to take chances overplaying their hand and shoot for the moon.

31yo 3rd line Pageau at 3x$5M isn't interesting for the Bruins.
