I don't love the trade...but do think your approach is the way they would have to go if they have any real desire to move AP...his huge contract (and for 3 more years) and his iron clad NMC leave NYR with very little leverage. So to move him they will have to find a place he is willing to waive for, and they will have to bring back and/or retain a lot of salary to make it happen. As far as where he's willing to waive to? who knows what he's thinking- but I'd think maybe he'd consider a Cup contender in a low tax state...Vegas, FLA, and DAL come to mind. Whether they'd be interested in him is a different story.

Vatrano had a career high last year and is beginning to breakout with this team.

Henrique is our biggest trade chip right now and continues to be a solid veteran for our roster.
