If leafs come back to win

No thanks for 3.8m Mayfield. Just keep Timmins. Why trade for the Garland, just resign Bunting

Hard pass on the canucks trade. For a few reasons.

Garland is overpaid, Minten is a extremely good prospect and I am not sure Samsonov is going to be a leaf if he wants 4+ million. Just keep Murray and run him with Woll who'll take the 1A mantle.

Before people go nuts about Woll only playing so many games, he's been great all year and one thing he's been very good at is not letting in bad goals. He saves what he should and thats something TO just hasn't had in the Matthews era.

I think Bunting will all depend on what his ask is. 3.5 million and I would likely say yes anything more and I'd let him walk.

Yeah, I was just suggesting that LWers (the most numerous any position) are "easy" to find. Better players than Garland available 4.9m, and don't have to give up nearly as much if all.

I'd bet good money that Keefe finds 2 guys for under 4 that do everything that Garland would have done for the Leafs and offer way better value. They have for the most part, hit a lot of singles and doubles doing this.

Plus Knies for a full season! I still hope for Robertson, at least to show enough for long enough that they can move home for something of greater need or better fit. I do think he'll be a decent NHL player but it will be for a different team I think. He'd really have to take a step and anchor a very dangerous 3rd line for him to keep a spot. I don't see his skill set working in the top 6, he's too small to be the puck retrieval, net front guy and that's what is needed up there. Knies is big enough to handle it so he works great.

So a puck retrieval forechecker for the top 6 is what we would be wanting. That is not at all Garland. I understand this was a very round about road to get here.
