Description
The point is Nashville pasy 8 mil for Johansens production and a 1,8 mil increase for Kuzys production may be worth it for the small amount along with for Washington Johansen at 6 mil is not horrible given he is a playmaking center and could have success with OVI. Secondly, Kuzy liked and had success with Trotz who is now the GM of the Preds so he may be more inclined to want to waive his NTC there. Kuzy is obviously the better player and when he is on is miles better so other pieces may be involved but I think the change of scenery for both could work, especially with 2 years left on their contracts each.
Trades
WSH
  1. Johansen, Ryan ($2,000,000 retained)
NSH
  1. Kuznetsov, Evgeny
Additional Details:
The concept if basically Nashville would you rather pay 8 Mil for 40 points from him or 9.8 for Kuzy and get about 60?

Not sure this move makes any sense for the caps unless we’re getting something else along with Johansen. Even with the retention this doesn’t do anything for us.

It worked now but I think Johansen on the caps could have similar success to Kuzy, we save 2 million dollars and get new energy into the team

Don't think this really does anything for the Caps. I'd rather just give McMichael the 2C spot and save the money. Use the cap space to get a young very good top 6 winger.
