Provy for a 1st should be a 1 for 1 trade that ends there. Taking a contract and retaining leaves them $4.265M less cap space that they could use to take on another bad contract for more picks and prospects. So yeah you make it seem like it’s a big deal but that $4M could be used plus a bit more of our cap to get Murray which they very well could have to give up a 1st or high 2nd for someone to take him. Small differences add up like that. The trade of Provy for the 1st is good. The trade you made isn’t good enough for the Flyers
