Additional Details:
Two pending UFA’s in 2024, and two guys that have been tossed in the rumor mill. Wilson is the type of player Toronto wants: a guy who can score a lot of points while also being a physical presence. Washington in turn acquires the guy with higher upside. Nylander has the potential to score more points, but isn’t as physical of a player. In a deal like this, I could see Washington adding a 2nd or 3rd, but the main idea is swapping Nylander for Wilson. I’m not a fan of either team, so I’m curious… what does everyone else think?

Just to clarify, Wilsons name has never been tossed in the rumor mill. Solely people on here (mostly toronto fans) wanting to trade for him.

I think the caps decline

These days it's Cap fans dreaming of getting Nylander for a soon to be 30 year old player leaving his prime. A player coming off a major knee surgery

Wilson isnt as good as Nylander. Wilson also hasnt entered his prime.

Nylander is the better player but I dont think the Caps will ever move Wilson even for Nylander straight up
