Since NJ doesn't have their 2023 1st round pick, You're going to have to offer other decent piece than this. There's no way this is going to be a winning bid. When Buffalo would be offering up their 13th overall pick for Connor Hellebuyck.

If Winnipeg wants a legit goalie in return (as opposed to a prospect or cap dump), Vanecek has plenty of value. So him and a pick or prospect is probably right.

These trades asking for one of our top prospects are getting a bit crazy though.

If you were the jets would you rather
13th upl and whatever else from Buffalo or
Late 2024 first (25-32) a late 2nd at 58th and vanecek who sure is a decent starter would not be of any need during a rebuild.

Jets could sign Blackwood and have a tandem of upl and Blackwood split so vanecek is really no value to the jets. So no they would not want a legit goalie back and vanecek has no value to the jets. This deal simply isn't what the Jets would want and if it was it would be easily beaten.
